Housing Resources
The Wampanoag Tribe of Chappaquiddick is comprised of Island families who have survived settler colonialism and continue to resist in order to maintain our sacred duty to the land of which we are created from. The challenge of year round housing is ever present, with the growth of luxury real estate and corporate seasonal rentals. Their focus on overdeveloping the land has swelled the market value of homes, consequently pricing out many Wampanoag families and adding to the challenges of being able to remain on our Island.
Dukes County Regional Housing Authority
The Housing Authority assists residents of the six Island towns through rentals, rental assistance and ownership opportunities, as well as town and Island-wide planning and assistance.
